Brianna was a normal 16 year old girl in high-school. Nothing ever interesting happened, no grey wizards, no famous deducing detectives, no (extremely handsome) Herondale's saying she was a Shadowhunter, nothing. But Brianna didn't need that, because she had her books, and that was all that mattered to her. She got picked on for being such a 'book-nerd' but she could just get lost in her books. She learned how it feels to be dead while still walking, to wear a heart that no longer beats and a soul that no longer feels, trapped in a home that seems perfect but hides a world of horrible cruelty. Her scarred mind locked on the boy she thought she could have. He was her greatest hello, her saddest goodbye, the biggest what if she will question all her life.
