Lachlan is a 18 year old Australian while Preston is a 19 year old American. They met over YouTube and soon became best friends. But Lachlan had secrets. Lachlan was suicidal and was often beat by his abusive father. He also loves Preston, his best friend, with all his heart. When Preston sees evidence of harm, what will he do?
Will Preston Lachlan's one true love be able to save him when everything in Australia is out to kill, even Lachlan himself?

He's almost never home, spending months upon end in hospital receiving treatment that is working less and less each time. Mitch couldn't remember a time that he wasn't depressed, that he felt like he was alive. Treatment never seemed to work, meds only made him feel worse and the only thing that made him feel anything was bringing a blade to his skin. Jerome didn't know how the addiction started, but drugs had always been apart of his life.
