I absolutely adore how protective Heatwave is of Cody in Rescue Bots, and wanted to try my hand at writing a short fic!
This is the first fanfic I've ever written. Let me know what you think!

Poisoned Rose (Heatwave x Quickshadow)
UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION Roses. Quickshadow had always found those flowers beautiful; and they were so intricate, layer upon layer of petals. She knew nothing about this newspark, or how it came to be born, or what in the name of Primus happened to its carrier--but that was all waiting to be unveiled, just like slowly peeling the petals off of a gorgeous crimson flower. - Things take a turn for the worst when the newest rescue bot finds an abandoned newspark, who she lovingly names Rose, in the woods on the Mainland. Quickshadow decides to take it upon herself to care for Rose while she and the rescue team begin the search for the sparkling's creators. Some of the bots aren't so fond of her plan at first. The tension between Heatwave and Quickshadow thickens when a few pent-up feelings are brought to light, and they quickly begin to realize that they need to set aside their differences (and maybe their emotions) in order to keep the team together as major problems begin to surface. Adopting a helpless, abandoned sparkling doesn't seem so complicated at first, but this one happens to have a dangerous secret, one none of them know. And when that secret casts over the team in a dark shadow with questionable motives and a mysterious links to her past, Quickshadow has to make one of the most difficult choices in her functioning: give up her one chance to save someone she thought she'd lost, or risk everything to protect her new-found family. This is a rewrite and continuation of Elements (seen on my old account) After the Rescue Bots sacrificed their life source, energon, to help get the town Griffon Rock back to it's rightful place, Optimus Prime realized that Ratchet would not be able to attend to the Bots in times of need since the Autobot Medic attended to the Autobot's injuries often. He decides to assign BlueBand, a type II ambulance being trained under the stern guidance of Ratchet. Just as the new Bot is beginning to get used to Griffin Rock, Dr. Morocco sets off a gas bomb in an encounter. All seems fine until the Rescue Bots are unable to transform out of their holoform into their bot form, and it's up to BlueBand to figure out a way to undo it. While crossing into dangerous boundaries to find new information, something goes wrong, something very wrong. This story is gonna be a little different from usual. Mari will originally be from Griffen Rock and she will be a member of the Burns family, Dani's twin. I'm not gonna do every episode, I'm probably just gonna do my favorite ones, which there is a lot of lol. Oh, and this is a Heatwave x oc if you couldn't tell by the cover lol.
