Dan was regretting his decision to go to New York.
While he knew that it was important for him to go there in order to meet up with a special contact of his, the broker also knew that going to that wretched hell-hole of a city would mean that every cop and superhero in that place would be hunting him down the moment he stepped in.
And he was right.
Within a couple of weeks, the ex-secretary of the worlds most dangerous ruler, now a lowlife broker, finds himself surrounded by his enemies with no way out.
While he did regret his decision, he at least got to be arrested by a handsome dragon cop. Now he just needs to find a way to convince said dragon cop to let him go.
This story is based off of my previous story, City of heroes, which I wasn't happy with. Now you guys get to see the story I wanted to write first.

Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive?
