The land was barren in the west and dust filled the air - Until the homestead act.
The Homestead Act of 1862 was an important historical event considered as part of the Westward Expansion. Without it, The U.S would be much less populated, and much more empty!
The Homestead Act played a huge role in America's History and the evolution of farming. It improved the west and America along with it.
