The Kingdom of Kerakai was a place of technological advancements; androids, laser guns, and bionic components, to name a few. Its neighboring kingdom, Psydech, was a place of poverty and magic, even though it was so close to the technological capital of the world. But, even with these wonderous abilities, Psydech outlawed the usage of magic because of its "dangerous capabilities". A kingdom in between both of these mighty superpowers, Fala, was a "middle-ground" for the arguments of Kerakai and Psydech. Fala had its own government but was heavily influenced by both kingdoms, usually leading to political battles and assassinations.
A boy in the middle of all of this was Calbin Hennrikson; 24 and as innocent as a newborn. He has worked for most of his life, lived fashionably in Fala, where he was shielded from the real world. But, after waking up in rubble from an explosion and with no memory of the past, his life was renewed, just in time for war.
