Nava Kulsh has just moved to a new town with his teammate Naryn. They remain secret about why they're there and their purpose. They act like brothers while their lives are built on lies. No one knows the terror of his past, except Naryn and despite trying to forget it, it continually remains in his face, tormenting him.
Nava and Naryn are part of an organisation that trains people like them to save those targeted by their enemies, known as the Acuran. In their new area two people are specifically targeted, unknowingly, known as 'subjects'. Nava vowed to save his 'subject' and to never fall in love. Things never go as planned though and Nava finds himself falling deeper and deeper in love. His resolutions suddenly become shattered like his already shattered heart.
