While Cameron Forde wouldn't say that she had been dissatisfied with her life until that fated Tuesday just before Christmas, she also wouldn't exactly say she had been satisfied. Her life had been perfectly ordinary and nice... but overall just a little too ordinary for someone that had spent most of her 15 years craving the adventure of her fantasy books. But upon dying in a car crash and waking to find herself in the afterlife Cameron is thrust into more adventure and drama than she ever could have wanted as she becomes the apprentice of none other than Death himself. Her new job and tough training take her on wild adventures through some of the murkiest and strangest parts of the Underworld, as she hunts down a Cult that has been trying to create eternal life, making friends and enemies along the way. All the while also having to assist Death in dealing with the intrigue and bureaucracy of the Court of the Underworld. And don't even get her started on the infuriating yet undeniably handsome Prince George.
