Exactly one millennium ago, The Emperor, ruler of the universe and the Saviour of the Mortal Realm, sought a large tear in the space-time continuum. He found that this tear led to a dimension home to vile demonic creatures, meant to remain imprisoned in the hellish grasp of this abyssal world. Alas, he was over-ambitious, as he entered the interdimensional portal, and was struck down by an army secretly built up by conniving demon lords to invade and pulverise the Mortal Realm. These creatures are driven by primal instincts and bitter vengeance, and strive to destroy and sow chaos and strife among their prey. Once a prosperous and thriving future for the galaxy, the empire has perished in the fires of revenge, heresy and betrayal.
