It started with a feeling. I woke up one day and I could tell something was different. First I couldn't seep anymore. All my thoughts came alive at night every thing was going by so quickly I couldn't stand it. I'll never forget that first night, the feeling of release I had, that began a nightly ritual opening my door softly walking to the front room and escaping into the night.

Broken

I close my eyes. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. Suddenly, I feel my stomach drop and my head start to spin. I try to scream, but nothing comes out. I try to breathe, but my mouth is dry. The sickening feeling continues for about a minute, then it stops. I open my eyes; I'm not dead... Yet.
