The soft sounds of raindrops tapping at his window pounded into Alex's head like hammers. He sat on his bed, running through what had just happened in his head. He tried convincing himself over and over that it hadn't been his fault. That he couldn't have changed what had happened even if he tried. It was all fate that had tampered with him. He looks across his dark room to see a picture of her and him. They were sitting at a park together. Everything then had seemed so bright and happy. He felt tears slip down his face, but he couldn't bring enough energy to wipe them away. Had he really ruined everything? Was this the end for them? It was starting to seem that way. Nothing will ever be as grand as Alex and (y/n).
(This fic is based on the song When The Party's Over by Billie Eilish, but with a twist.)
