"Ashlynn Eaton," my father's voice booms. I flinch and move towards the stage and him. I pick the knife up off the table, looking into his dark blue eyes. My gaze shifts to the bowls in front of me. Dauntless and Abnegation are both on my left. I turn left and drag the blade across my palm. The pain doesn't faze me-I've felt worse. I look at my father, look him right in the eyes and allow my blood to drop onto the burning coals.

I opened my eyes to see a dozen more staring right back, it was like standing in the hall of mirrors. I look down at myself and see dirt on my arm, I rub at it but it won't come off. I look at my other arm and see the same thing, just lighter, I rub that too. My eyes adjust to the sudden change of light and I can see that it wasn't dirt, they're tattoos.
