Three years into the apocalypse Rainy and her brother Danny have remained safe from the infected that filled the world around them, thanks to there father and a protected military compound. When Rainy discovers her father is targeted as a trader to the community he leaves behind clues for her and Danny to find him. They know how to kill the undead. They know how to survive. But what they don't know is that the real threat lies within people themselves. They'll soon discover that the world outside there safe zone is far worse than ever imagined. All she wants is to keep her friends safe and find somewhere safe they can live, away from the horrors of the world. She travels the continent, trying to find somewhere she can stay. She faces unimaginable threats and has to learn to face her fears, or die at the hands of them. She faces many things and find some things. She faces death and sadness, faces the unthinkable. And she finds real friendship and even love. Is it possible to love in the apocalypse? She'll just have to find out.
