You were like everyone else on Pandora. A Survivor, Mercernary, killer, protector, basically all of the above. What you weren't gonna be though, is a lab rat for hyperion to conduct tests on! A man named Handsome Jack was studying an alien lifeform that of which could connect with and bond with a host, a symbiote.

All he needed was a test subject. That, is where you come in.
