Jodi is a pro trainer, having been at it for several years and very busy with helping Professor Birch out with researching or helping other regions that need help. She has seen many things and done things as well, but becoming Champion was never on her to-do list as a trainer. So when she comes home from a six month trip to Alola to help the regions home people, she didn't expect to come home and meet her sisters new friends. Nor did she expect to be joining another journey so soon after being gone for a long time. 
    
    And she definitely didn't expect to fall for the womanizer of the group.
