𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁... 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝘆? Life in the rainforest is peaceful. The RainWings live in a place where everything is shared. Food is plentiful, no one ever fights, and even in the midst of war, the kingdom is quiet. Chameleon would never expect anything bad to happen in the forest. A normal dragonet at first, Chameleon discovers that the RainWings are anything but nice. After a nasty encounter, he gains a snout deformity that affects his scales. He suddenly discovers that he has no respect, no friends, and no hope. Eventually, Chameleon is exiled for one simple reason: He is different from everyone else. And then the RainWings do something that Chameleon would never forgive them for. Brimming with fury, Chameleon sets out to prove everyone that indeed he is different- but better than them all. But nothing could prepare Chameleon for what he discovers out in the wilds of Pyrrhia- something so influential that not even Chameleon himself could grasp the true power of it. Now he discovers he has a chance of rewriting his identity, his history, and his future. At last, Chameleon has the potential to make a difference... but what will this scarred, bitter dragon do with his newfound power? _____________________________________________________________ Chameleon ran over to Moss, who was crying, her wings askew. "Did you kill them?" he whispered to Moss. Moss looked up at Chameleon, her eyes glistening with tears. "No," she choked. "You know I wouldn't. That monster- Jaguar- pinned it on me. I promise, Chameleon. I didn't kill anyone. Why are they blaming it on us? What did we do?" "I have an idea," said Chameleon quietly, dangerously. He hissed. "Being different. That's what happened." He drew himself up and curled his claws in. "Trust me, Moss, I will get my revenge." Because no one should be punished for being different. _____________________________ [DISCONTINUED BOOK]

It has been three months since the dragonets "prophecy" came to fruition. Every Tribe was trying to adapt to the new peace. For one particularly stubborn tribe (cough cough, Nightwings, cough cough), they were having a rather rough time. Though one rude little bastard adapted slightly faster (mostly due to not wanting to starve again). - Example dialogue: (this is used in the story) Fateseaker flipped through the air as his whole being was consumed by gut wrenching pain, followed by the sensation of flames licking over every scale and bone in his body. Somehow his head was still on his shoulders, but just like the first Orb, something was gone. His wings had been completely blown off alongside most of the flesh on his back and a portion of the right side of his neck. Showing the muscles and tissue deep beneath the few scales he had left. As Fateseaker was redirected from the explosion he was not quite as lucky as before. A electric shock shot up his spine as he slammed back first into a the trunk of a tree, paralyzing him. Soon after he began to plummet once again toward the jungles floor, slamming into numerous branches that cracked against his bones violently on his short lived journey to the ground. But luckily or unluckily depending on how you view it, the branches seemed to slow Fateseaker down just enough to spare his mutilated body from death. He hit ground with a sickening crunch as most of the unbroken bones in his body snapped instantly. Blood poured from every pore on his shattered body. --- (A story about Breaking "Fate") WIP chapters are technically "finished", but I'll add more details, better grammar, etc. The edited chapters will have a (rewritten # times) at the beginning.
