  Charlene (Charlie) Sinclaire and Colin Harrison have been best friends since they could walk. They were always there for each other when the other needed it. 

  But after her dad dies, Charlie is forced to move away from Colin without even saying goodbye. Charlie later finds out that she has been diagnosed with a disease called type 1 diabetes. 

  After six years of being away, Charlie's mom finally allows her to move back and live with her sister as she finishes her senior year.

  She finds out that a lot of things have changed over the years, and by things we mean people. Her friends ignore her, including Colin. 

  But when a school project forces Charlie and Colin to become partners they both learn what the other has been doing for the past six years and they fall back into the friendship they once had...kind of.
