One thing that did turn heads were that the women who gave birth were not pregnant before. Then, 7 children were adopted by a filthy rich man named Reginald Hargreeves. He trained them to save the world, all except Number 7, who wasn't even included in the Academy. In fact she was excluded because she was deemed normal from the very beginning.
