Back In Time

"Let's play a game." His eyes were ravishing my body, a smirk playing at his lips. "If I win you have to do what I say. No more disobeying me, no more putting yourself in danger by doing stupid things."

I quickly interrupted him. "You do stupid things every day."

The breath was nearly knocked out of me when my arms were suddenly caged above my head, my back flush against the wall and his lips dangerously close to mine.

"Don't test me Adeline." His voice sent a shiver down my spin, my name on his lips gave me a pleasure I never knew I could feel. He slowly moved so I felt his breathe cascading down my neck. "If you don't want to play because you're scared that's fine."

He knew how much I hated being challenged, how much I hated being told I couldn't do something because I was scared. He knew that I had to prove him wrong.

The storm changed everything for Adeline. One moment she was running after her escaped dog, the next she woke up on a ship hundreds of years in the past with a pirate who does more bad than good.
