They don't stand out like they used to. In fact if you didn't know they were there you would probably wouldn't even notice them. After I turned to water to the shower on as hot as possible without burning my skin. I step into the shower and cry. I wasn't crying over Trevor anymore. These tears were for me. For the little girl who lost her dad, for the teenager who lost her mom, and for the adult who lost herself. It felt like the water was washing all the sadness off me because after 15 minutes of crying, it stopped. The sadness was gone. I felt something in me that reminds me of the person I used to be. Shell Of A Man
"I guess just spending time with some people fixes everything." Carrying the burdens of his past was Jason Smith. Numb. Emotionless. After all those years, what remained was just a shell of a human being. Dragging his life, one day at a time, because of the promises he made to his mother. Carrying the guilt of being the sole survivor of an accident was Raymond Holt. But, when life gave him a second chance to be alive, he accepted it with open arms. Burying the guilt deep inside, he lived his life to the fullest. He was quite the ray of sunshine. When the two guys first met at the NYU Law School, differences occurred, but eventually, they fell for each other. But, college love is young love, and it doesn't always withstand the hardships of life. Being oblivious to what they had found with each other broke their hearts, and they walked their separate ways. Years later, when they cross paths again, the circumstances are against them. Will they be able to overcome their differences? Will they be able to correct their mistakes and make up for the lost time? Most importantly, will they be able to move on from what transpired all those years ago? Read to find out. ↞↞↞♛↠↠↠ Everyone makes at least one mistake in their life; if you don't, you're not human. I just happen to be one of those people who make a lot of mistakes. To start with, there were the Rumours. You know, those things that only powerful people can make up? Yeah. Those. They were the beginning of everything that ever went wrong in my life, but also the thing that led me to the end. Although, I didn't know that at the time, so a few bruises and kisses down the line, I found myself faced with a big problem. I had to choose between three people, all of whom had been lying about everything for months. That wasn't an easy task for someone like me, but the biggest issue? The one who made me cry the most tears was the one I couldn't help but love. ↞↞↞♛↠↠↠ "I never meant to hurt you, River." "Then why did you do it? Why did you do all of those things? So forbidden it's borderline illegal. It feels illegal in a town like this. It was just sex. Ridiculous, I hate you sex with the one guy in school I had no business being with. But the line between love and hate blurs easily. And in a town like this, where secrets are hard to keep, we're playing with fire. Quitting him doesn't work, especially when he wants me even worse than I want him. Despite how much he hates me, despite that we were destined to hate each other. The only sure way to keep a secret is to be the only one who knows it. But this secret already involves two. And it's bound to get out and wreak havoc on my life and my plans for escape. The only questions that will remain are- was he worth it and will we survive the fall out?
