Kohana Akaashi is your basic chip off the block stubborn asshole. Abides by her own rules, doesn't take shit and doesn't do anything she doesn't have to. Keeping friends has never been her strong suit, interacting with anyone her age considered a major pain in the ass. As long as she could remember, it had only been her and her old man. She didn't need anyone else. 

But once the opportunity of the chunin exams rolls around and she has to leave the comfort of Kumogakure, she realizes that she may become more attached to her peers than she anticipated. And to Konohagakure shinobi nonetheless.
