Six high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-hungry, military veteran. The disparate group includes moody goth Gwen, troublemaker Duncan, mean girl Heather, party animal Geoff, flirt Alejandro, and brainy Courtney. Each has a chance to tell his or her story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.

One night Duncan hangs out with some old friends at the restaurant Gwen works at, the same night she's working the late shift. What happens when the two of them see each other after two years?
