You have always had feelings for your commander and friend. But you've never done anything about it for 2 reasons. One, he's your commander/ superior. And two, you knew he didn't feel the same way about you especially since everyone knew that he was with Uhura
But what happens when you find out that what you think you know isn't entirely the truth. Will you take a chance or run away from Fate?
I can't take full credit for this story. I actually found it as a one shot on someone else's story but it felt like there should be more said. So I'm adding and putting my own twist to it.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. My first mistake had been re-noticing people in my classes, if I hadn't done that; I wouldn't have re-noticed Tristan Everdeen. I should have known that the moment I had become entranced in those eyes of his-silver, deep, contemplative-that things never would be the same. But of course, I didn't. Because since when does life let you off the hook and just allow you to know those kind of things? *NOTE: This story was written when I was much younger and doesn't reflect my current views on healthy relationships. I stared at the floor until the doctor cleared his throat. I looked up at the doctor. My left eye was swollen and purple. I can't remember anything, all I remember was, I was in this building next to a crystal, passed out, and these men were grabbing me, and they put me In this cell. I couldn't hear what the doctor was saying, my vision was going black, but before I passed out, I saw him standing there. He looked older than me, he had brown hair, and his eyes were so blue! He looked familiar to me. Then it hit me, his name was Kirk, or was it Jim? But all I could get out of my mouth before I passed out was, "help". ⭐️ BOOK 1 OF 2 ⭐️ __________________________________ (This is a mix with Star Trek into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond. Some of the parts are from one of those movies, some are made up by me.) (Some parts from those movies are skipped in this book.
