Working Title Draft Working Title

This is a work in progress and is my first attempt at fiction.

Eighteen months after Ashley Waters, the Blackburn team has worked hard to maintain their reputation within the Academy even with their unconventional relationship becoming common knowledge. The newest team member is starting to put her training to use in taking on jobs with the team.
Toma team is back on solid ground after a period of infighting around the woman they see as their future. They have also welcomed a familiar antagonist into the fold which lends its own level of discord.
Both teams have been recruited to participate in a highly secretive project run by a research unit of the Academy. Both teams are intrigued by the offer on the table, even though few details have been made available. It seems like a paid vacation of sorts compared to the work they normally do AND they have been assured the risk of injury or incarceration is minimal.
The resounding response is, "We'd love to help." I mean, what's the worst that could happen?

The Academy: Ghost Bird and Scarab Beetle are the property of C.L. Stone. The core characters and "world" are her's. I'm just mucking around for my own amusement and maybe yours. This work is not created for financial gain. Viewer Discretion Advised: I have no idea where this train is going. I'm just giggling in evil glee at the premise. We know these boys. There will be foul language. There will probably be some mention of naked goodness. Given what we know of these party animals, there will also probably be mention of their individual troubled pasts and possibly some new forms of drama not yet encountered. If anything feels too over the top I'll post a warning at the top of the chapter. This will probably be an 18+ story. I'll lower the rating if it turns out tamer.
Also, this is not a typical All 14 story. Just go with it.
