conflict crush fear heart love mind poetry

A whisper in the leaves catches my ear,
And I stop, for though it's gentle, I fear.
I feel the warmth, feel my heart race,
Am I dying? I pick up my pace,
But it's still there behind me, still closing in fast,
I'm honestly not sure of how long I can last.

Hey guys. So, I have a new crush, and I decided to make a book dedicated specifically to love poems for that purpose. Write something that isn't depressing for a change. I hope you enjoy.

Red isn't always romance, sometimes it's blood, Moon isn't always for lovers, but sometimes for secret cries, Flowers aren't always for marriage, but sometimes for grave, Petals aren't always soft, sometimes they prick the soul. There was never even me and you. There was only me waiting for you. It seems like I have always been here, in this space of time. Never moving an inch forward nor an inch behind. And its safe to say, that you will always expect thing between us to be this way. I was the net you fell on when you jumped too high, only to fall back down. But I'm tired of waiting when everything moves ahead and I'm still here behind, waiting for you to come back. And so I close the chapter, as my ink dries, knowing those words written or said could never be taken back. Even those unsaid ones that just lay between us. Now as I stand alone, isolated, while everything speeds past me, I slowly blink and let the weight fall from my arms. Because there never really was me and you. There will only be you waiting for me. ------ A story about a girl trying to mend her heart while finding her passion. But it seems impossible until Chris shows her otherwise.
