Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom - and perhaps to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

So many stories have been told of the dark fairy's motives and here is another one. Why did Maleficent curse Princess Aurora? I have merged facts from Maleficent (2014) and Sleeping Beauty (1959). Rights to Maleficent, Aurora, Stefan and the three good fairies, as well as the christening speech, go to Disney. The plot from 'Friends?' to the end is also Disney's. The content of the exams, the schools and Nanny belong to Serena Valentino. The spells are from Harry Potter and belong to J.K. Rowling (mainly. if you don't recognise any, I probably made them up).
