Anna Martinez, a nursing student and cat lover, ends her shift at a community hospital and find a beautiful black cat with the strangest colored eyes. After she starts feeding the stray, he walks her to her car and awaits her in the morning. Feeling something special about the tomcat, she takes him home. That's when she realizes that this isn't an ordinary black cat.

The curtain around the hospital bed slides open to reveal an African American man with warm eyes. He walks in with an easy smile and a white man steps in just behind him with dark blue eyes and near black brown waves that fall to his shoulders.
