This is a historical short story about the tragedy of the sinking of the Empress of Ireland. It was the less popular Titanic.

Marcos, a young reporter, scores an interview with one of the last remaining survivors of the sinking of the Empress. He does not see the importance in history or remembering tragedies such as this but listening to Grace's story makes him think again.

BTW. This is not good. It is a little less than medium on the level of
awesomeness. It's also really short so you won't have to spend to much time in it. If you have chosen to read this thanks, you are awesome and to the people who decided not to read this, you are awesome too.

In 2010, a group of scientists embarks on an expedition to the North Atlantic to study the remains of the Titanic. During the investigation, the team finds the body of a man perfectly preserved in ice. They discover that it is Jack Dawson, the young man who became a legend because of the Titanic movie. Cryogenicists are reviving it using the latest biotechnological methods. Jack wakes up in a world that is completely unknown to him, where technology has advanced and everything is digitized. As he tries to adjust, he faces the grief of losing Rose and wants to find out what happened to his friends from the ship. The only one who understands him is Bella, a sixteen-year-old girl who herself feels like an outsider. Her mother works on a team of scientists, and Bella finds solace in conversations with Jack. They become friends, and he helps her deal with her own problems at school. However, it soon becomes clear that Jack's reanimation opens the door to something that should not have come to the surface. Strange events begin to occur inside and outside the lab, and Jack and Bella become the focal point of a growing mystery. The secrets of the Titanic go beyond what scientists could have imagined, and Jack's return sets off a chain of events that could lead to disaster. In a race against time, Jack and Bella must discover the truth about what happened on the Titanic and why so many strange things are happening after its return. Their journey takes them to the bottom of the ocean, to the place where it all began-wreck of Titanic.

A mysterious castaway. A Scottish hero determined to protect her. Can they survive the storm? Cast adrift on the Indian Ocean, Maria carries a terrible secret. Wherever she goes, death soon follows, and she's powerless to prevent it. William McGregor boarded the SS Trevessa in search of adventure, but he gets more than he bargained for when he saves the mysterious Maria from the sea. She can't tell them her tragic tale, so the superstitious sailors make up their own stories - and some would sacrifice her to the waves to save themselves from the coming storm. When the sharks start circling and the storm closes in, are sirens more than just a myth? A tiny taste of what's in store: My defiance was futile. What did it get me? A small raft drifting across the Indian Ocean, with nothing but the sound of waves and the smell of salt and coal-smoke. Smoke meant a ship. I was saved. I squinted into the sunlight, but the waves hid the vessel from me. Maybe I was looking the wrong way. I didn't have the strength to sit up and see. Rough hands seized me. I struggled, but my weakness won. Blue eyes drifted above, the same colour as the ocean below. A tangle of wiry seaweed obscured the rest of the man's face. "It's all right, lass. I'll take care of you." Darkness took me first. This book has been published and is available wherever you buy good ebooks. Eleven short stories, posted one story at a time: Two little girls, in two different eras, yearning for their parents. A shy girl in a new country. An uncertain woman dancing back into life after the death of a spouse. A thrilling short short. Mother and son argue over what is dignity, what value her life. A creepy little short that won an honourable mention in the Hart House Short Story Contest. The bureaucrat and his ever-so-busy day. A party that glitters and excludes ones who don't fit. A daughter rebels. A mother and her youngest, a conflict without end, that only death can solve? Murder stalks the homeless in Toronto's innocent streets. I hope you enjoy these stories! The ePub and Kindle versions include a bonus romance, written in 1919 by my grandmother, about two people who have to face danger to find each other. There's a story in that: My mother’s sister and mother liked to write poetry. My mother’s mother was a stellar speller and a killer Scrabble player. But I had no idea until recently that as an adolescent she had written and submitted stories for publication. I don’t think her queries were successful. And it wasn’t long before she got married and started riding the Wall of Death as a living with her husband. And so in honour of that century-ago effort of hers, I reproduced in the ePub, as she typed it errors and all (or what I suppose to be errors as grammar is different between countries and eras), the story my mother – her daughter – found recently in an old envelope postmarked from London 6:15 pm 23 SP 19 (23 September 1919) to Miss D.
