An intimate group of thirty something friends an expat journalist, a Canadian underwriter and a transsexual local real estate agent living in the metropolis, gather round for coffee pondering their lives, their relationships, their careers, and their life direction... up until their life changing moments begun. Millie is a journalist with a strong sense of social justice, especially fighting for the social acceptance of transsexuals in religious community. John is a closeted cross dresser and highly successful. Coming from an earlier generation, and being older than his friends Millie and Francesca he gained their full acceptance. Francesca is a transgender Asian, who resulted to be a sex worker struggling to find a stable job because of the stigma of her sexual orientation in a very conservative community. The trio having each other, struggling in life: John's pre-onset mid-life crisis and coming out of the closet, Millie's existential crisis as a journalist and doubts on getting married, and Francesca adjusting to the life of a transgender woman getting on to a religious Christian society. They used their diversity to help get through odds of getting a better shot in life.
