This story explores the modern social and racial complexities of being black in higher education. With the illustrious predominantly white institute (PWI), Carnie University and the distinguished historically black college (HBCU) Nickelson College as their stages, this group of friends battles racial oppression, overcoming self doubt, and claiming self reliance as they search for their own meanings of black American Exceptionalism, black classism, and most importantly, Hip-Hop as our inheritance through their respective callings.
