Protect my heart (On Hold)
Let's meet again for the first time. Her mother shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "Who will marry you now, when people get to know you were left by Vikram?" Before I could even process what I was doing, the words left my mouth. "I will marry her." ˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚ Aarav Malhotra, I've loved her since I was fourteen. She was my best friend, my partner in crime, and she was supposed to be my partner for life. I was meant to make her mine. But she left. For twelve years, there was no contact. It was a combination of alarming and mesmerizing. There is no other way to describe him other than intense. My abysmal past with men should be enough to scare me off, to go to any cost to avoid him. It has done exceptionally well in spooking me off the footpath leading to disaster with men every single time, nearly. This time appears to be the exception. I hate that. He is the epitome of the fine line between hate and love. I take that back, I just love to hate him. The way he speaks to me only makes my anger flare. My life is a series of thresholds that I overcome through poetry. Love, loss, pain, regret, humor, irony, word play, and even sarcasm are as much apart of my life as they are central to my poems here. I am Thresheld.
