killua zoldyck viaja a la escuela en tren todos los días. Al comienzo de su segundo período, se enamora de una chica, llamada biscuit kruger, quien asiste a la misma escuela y viaja en el mismo transporte, pero no están en la misma clase. Haciendo caso a una leyenda urbana le toma una fotografía con su teléfono móvil (si tienes la fotografía de la persona que te guste y nadie se da cuenta tu amor se hará realidad). Su compañera de mesa, palm siberia, observa la foto durante una clase y se compromete a ayudarlo en concretar una relación amorosa con biscuit, a pesar del hecho de que, aunque killua no lo sabe, palm está enamorada de él. Así, los tres terminan vinculados en un triángulo amoroso, que le va a traer muchos problemas a killua y principalmente a biscuit.

"How could you do this to us? You monster!" I can feel my grin falter, but I clench my teeth and hold back the unwanted emotions. "Yes. A monster. Just as I was all those years ago, before you decided to abandon me. You left me to them, mother." "You didn't deserve a place in our home!" "You're right, mother," I reply quietly. "I deserved to be tortured, instead. I deserved to be alone. Whatever helps you sleep at night." A starlit break with an assassin
Gon is becoming too much for Ging and Aunt Mito to handle, and is told he must attend boarding school. Heartbroken, Gon decides to flee and stay with Killua up in the Zoldyck's mansion. Things with Killua's family start out rough with several failed assassinations of Gon by Killu's family. Eventually they warm up to him and 'adopt' him as an assassin, teaching him how to kill.
