This is Yugioh fanfiction that is slightly crossed with beauty and the beast story that has a bit of genderbending with Yugi as a girl. This is a story of Yugi a young maiden sacrifices her freedom to help her homeland by becoming a bride of the Dragon Pharaoh. Who demands a willing bride in return of giving back their beloved chief who is her best friend's father. Over the course of her time at the Dragon Pharaoh's palace she learns hidden secrets and begins to change his cold heart.

Yami Atem, a once cruel and heartless king, was obsessed with power and therefore, only cared for himself. However, because of his cold heart and selfish ways, he paid the ultimate price: Becoming a hideous dragon beast. Now Yami has one year to make things right by falling in love with another, who will return those same affections, otherwise he will remain with the doomed fate of staying a dragon beast forever.
