Disclaimer: Everything related to Shadowhunters belongs to author Cassandra Clare. Most of the characters in this fanfiction are also hers. Anastasia and other characters not mentioned in the books are original characters of mine. This fanfiction includes spoilers from City of Glass and perhaps other books from the Shadowhunter Chronicles. Anastasia Verlac is orphaned, friendless, and hated by her own kind. She was brought up by her aunt with her cousin Sebastian, who made being glared at across the dining table and sent to demon nests alone a bearable routine. However, things take a turn when Sebastian leaves for Idris and never comes home. Suddenly everything protecting Anastasia from her anonymous identity and hateful kin is destroyed, and as the errors in her are revealed, she becomes hunted and must find a new home on her own.

The Nephilim Trials: Book One What if, at the beginning of the Mortal War, Clary had stepped outside with Sebastian? What if Sebastian had gotten a hold of Clary and taken her to Valentine? The demon towers have been deactivated and demons swarm into Alicante, only after destruction is rained down upon the Shadowhunter world do the Nephilim meet up at the Gard to inspect the destruction. When Sebastian, Clary's new-found friend, asks her to step outside with him, her world tips in an unexpected direction. She finds herself in the clutches of her father, Valentine, who intends to use her for the ceremony to raise the angel, Raziel. Can Jace reach her in time? Or will Valentine be successful in his quest to destroy all Downworlders at the cost of Clary's life?
