Braelyn Jones would do anything to protect her little girl, Temperance. And in this new Apocalyptic world where the Dead walked, it was harder than she made it look. Braelyn and Temperance, aged six, had survived alone since the beginning of the outbreak - now, nearly, two long, exhausting months later, they stumble across a group of survivors in the city.
After joining the group and helping to find a way out of the overrun city of Atlanta, they go to the groups camp. Only for Braelyn to find the person who she had thought dead for nearly three years.
Daryl Dixon.
The missing husband who had left their daughter with Braelyn's parents when she was four. Braelyn had been away on Tour in Afganistan. When she had come home she'd found their house empty and a simple note saying that Temperance was with her parents. Her parents had told Braelyn that Daryl had dropped their daughter of three months after she had left for her six-month tour, saying that he had things to take care of and that he couldn't stick around anymore for his family's safety.
How will Braelyn deal with her feelings for the man who had abandoned her and their daughter? will she forgive him or will she be distant?
Is the Zombie Apocalypse really the place to reignite the flame of passion and love both Daryl and Braelyn still feel for the other?
Is it a place for a shy six-year-old girl to grow up?
How will the family survive, together, yet so distant?
