A part of me wishes that I wouldn't think so much. I think that if I DIDN'T think so much, it would lead to a lot less misery. But then again, would I really be the same person if I didn't think so much? I don't think so anyways, because it's who I am. I am a contradict-addict, I'm helpless at times, I let my emotions get at me, I struggle with everything I do but I can always power through with encouragement... I may be pathetic at times, but all my strength comes from my friends. I wouldn't be here without them, and they've all done so much for me that it would just be stupid to look back and regret everything that my thinking brought. All I've ever wanted is to grow, to protect the people I care for, and to love with all my heart... Sounds like a real hero, right? Well, that's exactly what I want. I want to be a hero. There's so much I need to do, so many things I need to learn, and it starts with overcoming my flaws and becoming someone my friends can be proud of... Someone even HE can be proud of. I love Sora, and if I ever felt like I couldn't do it for myself, I'd do it for him. I'd be his hero, too.

Kingdom Hearts 1 (Female Sora AU) by egmwilson2016

The events of the Kingdom Hearts Saga if Sora and Kairi had been born the opposite gender. Soraya is an average tomboyish girl living on the Destiny Islands with her two best friends. Riku, who had been her closest friend her whole life (so close that they were practically siblings), and Kai, a sweet and creative boy who she had a slight crush on. One day, when Soraya was fourteen, her life changed forever when darkness invaded her home, and only she had the power to combat it. Little did she know that she was the prophesied Child of Destiny. ***I've loved Kingdom Hearts for years. I have all three main games. I've seen a couple genderbend fanfictions about it before, which were really good, but I thought I could elaborate more. Only Sora and Kairi are genderbent in this fanfiction. I do realize that Sora is a Japanese unisex name, but I associate it too much with a boy character to use it. Soraya is a Persian name that means "star cluster," which I feel fits perfectly, and Kai is a unisex name that means "sea" in Hawaiian, which also works well. There will be no POVs in this fanfiction. Kingdom Hearts is the property of Square Enix and Disney. Found inspiration for Kai's design on Google Images. (Copywrite is the last thing I want). I only own the genderbent versions of Sora and Kairi. So please enjoy my first entry in my genderbent Kingdom Hearts Saga. Also, I may include some more detailed information about some characters. Spoiler alert to all those who are not as savvy about the subject. (Although I do recommend seeing the YouTube channel "damo279" to hear his well researched "explained videos" on the Kingdom Hearts history and mysteries).

Due to the two leaving, Annabelle finds the Land of Departure a little empty, specifically without her mother. During the pass of the four years, at some point, a boy named Ori showed up, who Master Eraqus had informed his pupils and children he believed was The Prince of Kingdom Hearts. Annabelle hadn't understood what he meant, nor had she known she would understand eventually, but in a dark revelation. Ori seemed to be uninterested in having a conversation with anyone in the Land of Departure but eventually talked to Annabelle and then the others. Little did Annabelle know that the night before the Mark of Mastery Exam would be her last night at home... before everything went downhill. Annabelle is about to learn how cruel the worlds can actually be, and she's not going to like it.

Next stories continue as Hikari travels back in time to rescue her mother in ReMind and Sora, Hiromi and Riku's clues to search for Hikari in Melody of Memory.
