Im Laurie, a 20 year old homeless woman. I live in the winded streets of New York. My parents aren't in my life and I'm fine with that. Joyce is the owner of the corner bargain store I always go to her for advice. She is and has been my only friend for 2 years now. No one befriends a homeless being even when the silent cries appear. But will someone see something more than the ripped, dingy clothing on my body and the split ends of my hair?
