Joby Bisset had been muted abusively by her father when she was nine years old. She grew used to it, and continued to grow used to it, but she disliked the attention she received and, ironically at the same time, the isolation that seemed to surround her.

An outcast, absolutely. One hundred percent.

But Sirius Black seemed to like her somehow, no matter her verbal status or who she was friends with or even her house. She was genuine, and she knew his own situation well--unlike many of the people he had come across.
