Lottie is a pregnant, bipolar young woman who is haunted by a violent past. Lottie's excitement of becoming a mother is tainted when her mental well-being crumbles. She questions whether she will love her unborn son or whether she subconsciously wants to murder him. 
Lottie desperately combats against her horrifying dreams and deteriorating mind. She is aided by Marvin, an alcoholic police detective who has his own demons to battle. 
Marvin fights to solve a cold case which is somehow linked with the fate of Lottie's unborn son. Marvin needs to uncover the truth before it's too late and help Lottie overcome the intricate and all consuming memories of terror in her psychotic mind.
