Nova, a girl on 12 and Raze, a boy on 18, is the unlucky ones being reaped, and they get Haymitch, Katniss and Peeta as their mentors. Can these three mentors safe one of the kids? Raze is a quick, strong boy from the mines. He quickly shows himself just as skilled in combat as the Careers. Nova is completely different. She is little and weak, and used most of her time at home dancing, studying or reading. She is a smart girl, who knows how to survive, as long as no one will try to kill her. While the kids are in the Quell fighting for their lives, Katniss and Peeta is spending a lot of time together. Not only do they have the kids in the Quell to look after, but also the wedding. The Nightmares Hidden in Dreams - A Hunger Games Fan Fiction
"Look, it's your favorite color." I point at the light orange of the sunset. I hear a faint rustling, and I turn over to see Peeta looking at me instead of the sky. "You remembered," he whispers. "I remember everything about you," I reply, repeating his words to me. I expect to regret my honesty, feeling like I've shared too much. But I feel like I haven't shared enough. I want to tell him everything about himself, to prove just how much I remember. But I don't. We just watch each other until the orange fades into dusky blue. ➳➳➳ In the years following the dismantling of the Hunger Games, Katniss rekindles the fire between her and Peeta. Over time, they grow back together, relearning to love every part of each other. Moving on from the war isn't easy, especially when Katniss still revisits her greatest fears and worst memories every night. But Peeta is always there, keeping the nightmares away, keeping her safe. However, though the world is changed, it will never truly be safe. ➳➳➳ The years following the war. Post canon, basically what leads to the epilogue.
