A long time ago, the first immersive game was made. They called it Candy Land and it was the biggest hit on the market since the Mars move. The world became obsessed and lived their lives through the game... until people began to die. By some strange accident, people that died in Candy Land, stayed dead. The game industry took a big hit and the world hit a lull. A new game went into development and was later released to the world. He he hold the people, holds the lands. Hovel Inc later released the game Epoch. Epoch has become the largest game between the worlds.
In Epoch, You can be what you wish. A human, a creature, a monster. The game provides you with many options. You can earn exp and gold. Make a life for yourself in a whole new world. Make friends and enemies or become the greatest of them all, I don't care. Join a guild and be a part of a real society. The kingdom is always looking for new soldiers. *Wink Wonk*

guys please don't read this anymore lmao i write totally differently now💋 _________________ In a future where humans are genetically modified -- 'altered' -- at the age of sixteen, the world has been, until now, a safe place. Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Set on a pristine, futuristic Earth, this is the apocalypse like you've never seen it before. (Rated mature for graphic depictions of violence and mild language.) The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. As the trees and its land slowly burn down by he deadly purple acid, a man that was watching from afar shivered at this sight. This has been going on for ages, and the creature hasn't been stopped. If they didn't stop the thing on time, everything they knew, everything they have ever known. Every building ever created, every world that has been generated, would be gone. The man looked towards his companion, or was he, his companion? His friend has been acting a bit strange, acting anything but not himself. The man took a deep breath and sighed. He looked towards the man with a stern face, gripping onto his iron sword. "Are you sure, you aren't, It?" His friend looked back at him, and chuckled coldly in response. "You know me, buddy, I wouldn't let It get to me." On the next day, the man's friend was gone. What is reality? I was John-now Charlie, a woman with a VR game tester's cunning and a professional whiskey enthusiast's attitude. But then AIs have risen, and my job evaporated faster than last night's drink. Just when I hit rock bottom, this punk kid-barely old enough to shave-dropped a bombshell: "Reality's just a simulation." Sure, buddy. I laughed it off. Until I woke up twenty years in the past. Now, thanks to a hacking mishap, I'm a regular girl in reality-with a debt and an attitude-navigating Rimelion, the VR game I once mastered, as Charlie, an elven priestess with more than a few tricks up her sleeve. Seriously though, fighting in high heels? Will I claw my way up the nobility ladder? Dominate the rankings? Outwit the government and their plans to exploit us all? Maybe. But something's off. The game feels too real. My memories don't line up, and everyone has their own version of what's true. Simulation? Reality? The lines are a blur-and I'm stuck in the middle. If I want to stop a dystopian future, I'll need allies, both in-game and out. Oh, and avoid ticking off the AIs hunting me for bending the rules.
