Ashlyn Kane is a girl from the ark who was sent down in a pod by her mom with her little sister. She was six and her sister, Carly Kane was 1. They are the children of Marcas Kane.They were sent down for being siblings and having black blood. Her mother knew they would die but she didn't want them to be in prison. Indra found them and alerted the commander. They were discovered as nightbloods. They trained in TonDC for five years until Lexa took Ashlyn in for training. She trained there for another 6 years barley seeing her sister. That is until she decides to take a break and help Trikru. That's when her story starts.

In doing so, they managed to sentence almost all of them to an untimely death that was almost inevitable. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. She will find a better version of herself. Hailey will become what she was always meant to be, a warrior.
