We all know about Danganronpa; the murders, the trials, and the tragic, yet sometimes humorous, executions. However, throughout the three games, the protagonist remained sane and innocent throughout. How about a different take on that?

Warning: Huge spoilers and embarrassing grammar errors Disclaimer: At some point, it will be able to be read as gender neutral with few hints that may display the reader as feminine. It will still be marked as a Female!Reader story just in case Originally, you tried your hand at a completely different Ultimate talent, and while you were instead enrolled as the Ultimate Sweetheart, you never truly let that go! Still, as the new Ultimate Sweetheart, you have your crazy times but most people at this amazing school still manage to love you back. It's corny, but your goal is of pure in intention after all, and the people at this school are all just as nice in some way. You believe with all of your heart that there is hope AND love for everyone. Nagito Komaeda however, would beg to differ. He's having trouble believing that and he doesn't feel like he's worth the effort. You want to help him as much as you can so he knows he's loved too, and so he can feel true happiness from loving himself back as well. What starts out platonic becomes a romantic story that runs into the threads of deep despair with only a shred of hope to hang onto. What happens when things become just a little more complicated than a high school romance was meant to be? Will you succeed at winning his heart that you didn't know you were chasing after? Will you and Chiaki be able to save your friends? Will Nagito be able to save you? . . . This book takes place during the Despair Arc and later books continue in chronological order of the series installments. Credit to Team Danganronpa, Spike Chunsoft, Kazutaka Kodaka, and all the other makers of Danganronpa. Also credit to all of the original owners of the pictures AND videos seen or mentioned in this fanfiction. None of this is mine aside from the changed parts of the story's plot. That said read at your own risk and please enjoy this Danganronpa story: Hon'yomi Nakajima has just been accepted for her first year at the infamous Hope's Peak Academy, under the title of Ultimate Poet. Nervous and a little more than excited to be apart of the 76th class, she expects to meet new people who, like her, will graduate and become the hope of the future. But the moment she steps foot on campus everything changes. She finds herself waking in a strange neighborhood with fifteen other students with no explanation as to where they are. But slowly things are revealed, they are no longer students of hope, but of despair, and if they wish to escape their prison they need only to complete one task: get away with murder. After the end of the infamous danganronpa show, everything went back to normal. Soon enough, an international school was created, Tamatsukuri Academy The school took inspiration from danganronpa's "Ultimate" school system and decided to do the same. Although, it was much healthier and better since both the talented and talentless can be in the same class and look beyond their differences. Things didn't go as planned though. The students got trapped inside a killing game. They had been given one basic rule as its cornerstone: to escape, one would have to get away with killing a fellow student. As the game progresses, our protagonist, Dahlia Sasaki soon finds herself learning a harsh lesson.
