This story was for a contest entry. The prompt was: "The beautiful new-leaf day is disturbed when a patrol brings a strange, old rogue into camp, requesting an audience with the Clan's leader. You and the rest of the Clan watch as the rogue introduces themself, and requests for a place among the Clan, promising good blessings to come if they do. The leader scoffs at this, insisting that the Clan is not a home for wandering elders, and orders the patrol to escort the rogue out. Offended, the rogue shouts that the Clan will be cursed for this, and sprints out of the territory."
