"Kurt's eyes flutter open as the small plane makes contact with the tarmac. He pushes himself up slowly, glancing around with his sunken blue eyes, taking a long breath as he stretches, pushing the back of his arm into his forehead. He looks down to his watch as he draws his arm away, his eyes moving over the red numbers that blinked at him ominously, signaling the battery was to die soon. Kurt chuckles lowly, his eyes shifting down as he pushes a cigarette into his mouth.
At least they had something in common.
It was Sunday, April 2nd, 1994
7:42 am, and Kurt Cobain, along with his thrift-store Timex piece's batteries, were going to die soon."

"I won, so you stop." James' mouth was so close, I could feel his words in mine. "Think again, Jamesie." I raised my left hand to his throat, holding the same dagger I had knocked out of his hand before. In the middle of all the rolling around, I'd managed to catch it. A strike of luck, really. James grunted a labored sigh and inched even further towards me. "You're fucking impossible..." His eyes flicked over to my lips. I felt my stomach tingle. "You're heavy." Once Caleb reached the bottom of the stairs he quietly opened the door and tiredly switched on the light "Jayden it isn't morning yet buddy you need to-" he froze in place staring at a man he didn't know standing in his living room. I had barely made it a step when I say a man walking towards me. He too had a digital clock thing on top of his head too, except his had todays date, September 10th, and his timer read, 00:00:12. I didn’t know what to assume for 00, but I watched patiently as he looked both ways and crossed the road, and then, just like clockwork, 00:00:00, and a car came speeding out of nowhere, and knocked the man down. He was dead. Somehow, between him dying and me freaking out, I had an epiphany; I saw when people were going to die. And then I officially had my first panic attack since my mom died. Boysenberry Moonchild Roxburgh is your average girl who happened to get hit by lightening, starts seeing when people are going to die, meets a soul reaper and his pissed off half brother, gets hired by death and is being constantly annoyed by a stalker black cat and her dead mother who she can now see.
