In the city of Kaso, citizens are terrified by the control their King has exerted over them. The King, Rodan, has his Crown Warriors patrolling and making examples of anyone that doesn't follow his orders. Rodan's adopted son, Prince Seladin, has begun following in his father's footsteps. Seladin prepares for the day he'll become King. 

However, there are one group of people Rodan refuses to argue with, The Nyads. There isn't much known about these magical beings, but they work desperately to free Kaso from the tyrannical rule. 

Then, Seladin meets a girl named Ophelia. And falls in love.
