I started this over three years ago. It was inspired by a guy I saw on America's Got Talent who had overcome drug addiction. He had previously had a rough relationship with his father, and music brought them back together. Music has played a huge role in my life, growing up in a family that had its own band (my grandfather played drums, my mom sang and played bass piano, and eventually I'd have the honor of singing and playing clarinet). But I also know a thing or two about dysfunctional relationships. As someone who has lost multiple family members to addiction, it's also something for which I'm all too familiar. So, this is going to eventually be a completed novel. I have no idea how long it will take to finish, but I'm going to try. And when I get a synopsis ready, I'll add it here. But for now, all you need to know is it's about wanting something, almost having it, but being just a halftone apart from getting it. This is the story of Wes and Kennedy. I hope you'll vote, comment, and share it with your friends. -JB
