"Oh, so you fear me? Join the club."

Dr. Mierre finally graduated. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and humiliation, but he has promised himself he will work on his passion and make all those doubtful peers eat their sour words.

Three years later and he quite obviously has achieved...

nothing.

He's eating his own dust, his last bit of money spent on a laboratory to study a city just outside of Hiroshima.

This is how he thinks he'll die. A nobody, useless, and unhelpful to any scientific discoveries to come.

Might as well do research while he's at it.

It's this research that brings him to a potential breakthrough larger than Nuclear bombs themselves.

It was a cold day.

It was raining..

Nothing good should have come from it.

"Why?"

"That's a death sentence."

"Magnificent."

"Me? You're funny."

"You are standing on a smoke house. Those can get as hot as five hundred degrees Fahrenheit."

"Probably not on."

"Yeah, and the switch that is flipped to on is broken."

"You know? I had a really great day today. I got my first coffee, tasted kinda gross, showed up to work on time, filled stocks, had no customers, then you decide to come in, break your toy, and accuse me."

"There are so many incorrect statements in that sentence I have no clue where to begin."

"I thought you were a scientist, not an English teacher."
