The height of the throne calls for those with spine and the distance of its sound will find the ears of those who surface their heads from the blood of both enemies and allies alike.

In the first breath of peace, disorder keeps its grip firm on its throat. The Akiyama shogunate has brought a new rule, and with it, a future with gods of metal and fire. Many began to surrender their worship to the divine with a wartime worth of spite bitterly spoken of in insult than in of melody or in rhyme.

Though the ignorant proceed in bliss, the clans are suspicious and Takeyoshi is a product of their suspicion. As a shinobi, he knows that the remnants of war still echo through its corpse and its voice only grows stronger.

Hired to amplify tensions, he spies on the affluent Tachibana clan only to realize the truth might be beckoning him to a place he no longer understood.

A distinguished soldier fighting against the corruption and injustice of the Mexican cartels, he was known throughout organized crime as a furious demon, an excellent, cold-blooded, and calculating strategist, a merciless killer of his enemies. However, those who managed to survive barely lived to tell the tale. He is the embodiment of evil and anger, so they nicknamed him "Devil" and put a huge price on his head. Years passed, but no one survived, so they understood that crossing paths with this demon was a death sentence. The only option they had was surrender to pay for their crimes and not fight. This led to the total annexation of all organized crime out of fear of the "devil" himself for the sins they committed in life. After the news of what had happened, all citizens burst into joy, throwing their caps and hats in the air as a symbol of victory for the justice of their beloved Mexico. They named that day "The Justice of the Eagle," which had overthrown the evil from their homeland. Months passed, all citizens enjoyed a magnificent peace and tranquility without worries, even the Christian priests took this as a divine sign, giving thanks as appropriate, but this was not the end. An unexpected event happened in Mexico City, what seemed like a Japanese structure, it was not a single structure but a portal to another world where gods, monsters, magnificent beasts and other races live apart from the human, especially magic. Mexico would have a conflict against an Empire with a vast army of samurai that would try to invade the homeland. This was just the beginning of this historical tale. "May God bless us with his grace, may he forgive our enemies because the Devil will not."

"Before they were the legends, oral tradition passed down from generation to generation, before they were heroes of the War of Seven Forces, and before all the stories made them but little less than the very gods they drew power from in the eyes of the common folk... they were human." * * * Ever since gods began lending their strength to humankind, the Clans have existed. They have flourished, traded, warred, and made peace-- but now trouble is stirring again. Enter: Ichtaka, a boy with a "cursed" appearance and mysterious origins. The closed-off Mountain Clan reluctantly accepts him after discovering his half-dead form. Some suspect he is a runaway from the Cave Clan, notorious for their acts of cruelty, and others believe him to be an ill omen from the gods. As tensions soar among the clans, Ichtaka's past begins to reveal itself-- as do those in the shadows. *Apologies if parts break strangely. I felt as if each chapter was too drawn out, so I split them into smaller chunks for a (hopefully) better reading experience*
