For twenty-five girls all around the country of Riverdale, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. It's the opportunity to escape whatever life had been laid out in front of them; caste's two through five - those were the ones they had, but their was a total of ten castes. One being the royal family and ten being poor and loving on the streets - To live in a glittering world with gowns, jewels, and crowns. To live in the palace and compete with the others for the heart of the gorgeous prince Archie. 

But for Veronica Lodge, being selected is a nightmare. Leaving home to enter into a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a castle that is constantly threatened by dangerous rebel attacks. 

And then... Veronica meets Prince Archie. Slowly but surely, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself. She realizes that the life she's always dreamt of may not compare with a future she had never imagined.
